They lost to Monument Valley early in the season, but were successful in the season closer, the ARL tournament, where they took first place, Monticello took second place, and MVHS took third. The team members are (back row, I to r) News at MHS The Monticello High wrestling team began the season on November 20 at East Carbon. They will wrestle in Moab on November 29. The re- turning wrestlers this year are Micah Ewart, Ben Handy Hoggard, Brandon Goodwine, and Matt Rowley, who all did very well last year. Coaching the team are Coach John Dowell, Kent Adair, and Se-made- ni, Ked Musselman. The wrestlers will meet Blanding at home on December 6. They will host region wrestling on January 26. LaRue Barton, who has directed the contest for several years, was pleased with the performance of the Monticello contestants, and thanks the judges for their participation. The play, "Barefoot in the Park", was presented by the great basketball season, and are preparing new songs to add to the excitement of the games. The first MHS basketball game will be on December 7 . The varsity team members are: seniors, Nielson Brown, David Halls, Brook Shumway, Jordan Shum-waand Mike Shumway; e juniors, Corby Bayles, Brown, Boyd Grover, Dennis Jones, Nathan Nielson, Ryan.
