Indian Awareness Week began on Monday morning with a start-urun for students and teachers. Fried Bread contests were held Monday through Thursday for students who wanted to participate, two grades per day. 14-1- 8. p In conjunction with the theme, the school had a day on community clean-u- p Tuesday. They collected over 2,000 pounds of trash around the streets of the Montezuma Creek community. Bottles, cans, metal, wood, paper, and miscellaneous were the categories of trash collected and disposed of properly. The Indian Club from Bluff and the Winterhawk Indian Club from the Aneth Community School performed for the students on Wednesday and Thursday.
