Horseshoe tourney JJ Steffen of' Monticello placed first in Class A with a 45.4 ringer percentage and was the tournament champ at the Kanab Open Horseshoe Tournament held on April 29 at the Kanab Fairgrounds. Shirley Steffen of Monticello placed second in Class A with a 40.4 ringer percentage, and Glen McAllister was third at 38.3 percent. In Class B, Paul Rudy was first, Evan Erbine was second, and Kent Pendelton was third. Taking first place in Class C was Robert Langston; Allen Heaton was second; and, Tuff Moles was third. Class D winners were G. C. Dodds, first; Bill Bundy, second; and Biff Williams, third.
