There will be games, crafts and refreshments each day. Children ages 4 through 13 are invited. A group from the First Southern Baptist Church of Las Vegas, Nevada will be presenting the Vacation Bible School. Christian camp Christians from Utah will join others from the Western United States in beautiful Paro-wa- n Canyon near Cedar City for the 22nd annual Old Fashioned Christian Camp meeting June 29 to July 3. The four-dafamily event will be held in the mountains near Brian Head and is open to all Activities will being on June 29 at Parowan City Park with songs and entertainment. The group will move to Parowan Canyon the following morning where fellowship under the big tent will get fully underway. The turnoff to Willow Flat will be plainly marked by signs on Parowan Canyon Road (Utah Highway 143) say sponsors of the event. Parowan is 20 situated just east of miles north of Cedar City. Free to all, the camp meeting also will feature youth services at six each evening and a final Sunday morning meeting. y l.) Skirl Folgheraiter and Orrenzo Snyder To exchange vows Mr. and Mrs. Joe Folgheraiter are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter Shirl to Orrenzo B. Snyder, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack D. Cantsee Sr. of White Mesa, Utah. The couple will be united in ceremonies on Saturday, June 25 at the Shonto Boarding School Campus in Shonto, Arizona. Their vows will be repeated at a traditional Navajo ceremony at 3 p.m. the afternoon of June 25 at Tallmoun-tain- , Arizona. A reception will follow. Also, the couple will be honored at a reception at the White Mesa Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints on Wednesday evening, June 29, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. 5, y Many participants bring tents, campers or motor homes to camp nearby in cool mountain campgrounds. Others stay in motels at Brian Head, Parowan or Cedar City. Children, ages five through twelve, are invited to illustrate their favorite family activities, in poster form, during a contest sponsored by the Governors on Committee Advisory Strengthening the Family. Selected entries will be displayed at a conference on strengthening the family slated for September 17, at Cottonwood High School. The contest winner will receive a cash prize of $100, and the winning poster may be used as the cover for the conference program. Utahs neighborhood public libraries will serve as the dropoff points for the completed posters, which must be submitted on 14" x 22" poster paper and may be done in any medium from crayons to collage. Each original entry should illustrate the theme, What I Love To Do With My Family. The artists name, address, age and local library should be printed on the poster back (entries are not return able). The deadline for entries is July 21. Entry information is available at public libraries throughout the state. 477-884- Advertising Pays Robert James Land and Christy Leann Howell Wedding announced Clint Howell of Williams, Arizona and Pam Howell of Blanding, Utah, are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Christy Leann, to Robert J ames Land of Fillmore, Utah. The couple will exchange vows during an outdoor ceremony in Blanding on June 25, 1988. A reception to honor the newlyweds will be held that evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at the San J uan County Library in Blanding. An open house will be held in Fillmore at the home of the grooms parents. Christy graduated from San Juan High School in 1986 and has been attending Southern Utah State College for the past two years. Robert is the son of Larry and Virginia Gehre of Fillmore and Roy Land of Castaic, California. He will graduate this summer from Southern Utah State College where he majored in chemistry.
