Although there were no team wins, Coach Royer says he was pleased with the results. The team is coming on good and looking a lot better. The losses were to Monument Valley, Monticello and Moab. The first match was at home Fur auction The annual Utah Trappers Association Fur Auction will be held Saturday, January 23, at the National Guard Armory in Nephi, Utah. There will be fur buyers from the Western states in attendance to bid on fur brought in by local sportsman and trappers. Traditionally this auction has brought above average prices for fur and has proved to be a great service to the fur harvesters of the state. The auction is open to all fur harvesters including predator callers, furriers, trappers, and houndsmen. There will be a nominal fee of two percent for Utah Trappers Association members and a four percent fee for those not wishing to become members. A fee of one percent will be charged for no sale fur. Association memberships will be available at the auction. Since this is a silent bidding auction, there will be informative demonstrations, videos, concessions and trapping supplies available while the bidding is in process. Fur will be accepted from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday and 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday. Kelly Pugh at 152 lost, but the Broncos came back with a pin by Stuart Black at 160. Brandon Laws, wrestling at 171, also pinned his opponent. Troy Begay, who usually wrestles at 171, moved up to 189 6 and was pinned. Spintz Harrison, San Juans heavy weight, pinned his opponent in the first 28 seconds. Thursday, the Broncos wres tled the Monticello Bucks, taking six of 13 matches. Winning by pins were JV Tony Guymon and Mike Bradford, Lorin Kartchner, and Stuart Black (160). Winning by decisions were John Lacy (103), and at 152, Kelly Pugh 10-Mike Davis lost by a one-poi3. nt decision. Saturday, San Juan traveled to Moab for a seven-schotournament. Placing for San Juan were John Lacy at 103; Mike Davis at 140; Stuart Black at 160; and Brandon Laws at 171. Kelly Pugh at 152 and Mike Bradford, independent, took fourth. The Broncos have a match with the Cougars on Thursday and will face the Red Devils in Moab on Friday.
