Notice is hereby given that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has proposed to determine Eriogonum humivagans to be an (Spreading endangered species under authority of the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended. Critical habitat is not being proposed. Populations of the Spreading are restricted to remnant populations on soils derived from exposed mancos shale outcrops in eastern San Juan County, Utah. Lands on which the species occurs are private and Bureau of Land Management managed lands. The spreading is now restricted to the edges of agricultural fields and road sides and a few remaining unculitvated areas. Various land use practices in the area of this species and greatly reduced populations pose threats to the species continued survival.
