Teams participating in the qualifying meet were Monument Valley, Green River, Whitehorse, Duchesne, East Carbon, Altamont, North Summit, South Summit, Rich and St. Joseph. The top four place finishers in each weight division qualified to wrestle in the state meet. Green River February 1 Dead Horse Point Dead Horse. Point State Park 1985 having hosted ended 91,517 visitors. This is a decrease of 400 visitors from 1984. The small decrease might be explained by the road construction in the Island in the Sky District of Canyonlands National Park causing inconvenience to travelers wanting to visit the area. The numbers of campers at Dead Horse Point increased from 8,861 in 1984 to 9,966 in 1985, a 12.5 percent increase. The Park had visitors from all 50 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and 30 foreign countries. In March of 1985, the Division of Parks and Recreation initiated a process to develop a long range management plan for Dead Horse Point. A public meeting was held to obtain input to be used in the plan. Currently, division employees are compiling the information and a draft plan should be available for public comment in the near future. First Southern Baptist Church 96 E. 500 N.
