Show THE SAN JUAN RECORD Wednesday, January 16, 1985 - Page 18 ' Grazing on BLM lands costs less this year Livestock operators who graze their animals on lands ad ministered by the Department of the Interiors Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will pay$lc35 per animal unit month (AUM) for the 1985 grazing season, which begins March 1, 1985. The $1.35 per AUM will be only slightly less than 1984 fees of $L37 per AUM. An AUM is the equivalent of the amount of forage consumed by one cow in one receipts is appropriated by Congress for rangeland improvement work and a percentage is turned to States where the grazing took place.
