On Saturday January 14, the Bucks wiU stay in MonticeUo Monticello Buckaroos faced their ninth game of the season on Friday night and were able to defeat the Green River Pirates by a score of 61 to 37. The Bucks took control of the game using their effective fastbreaking offense. The majority of the points scored by the Buckaroos came through steals s. Howconverted to easy ever, when the Bucks were forced to work against the Pirates zone defense, they passed the ball quickly around the perimeter of the zone until they found an open man and before the zone had a chance to shift. The game had a very quick tempo which the Bucks enjoy. The biggest set back for the Pirates was the loss of their most valuable player who had brokenboth arms during practice two days before the game. Broncos defeat Bloomfield Bobcats The San Juan Bronco basketball team traveled to Bloomfield, New Mexico on December 22 to play the undefeated Bloomfield Bobcats. As expected, it was a very close, weU play edbaU game.
