LaVeU and Ida Mae Palmer are also leaving to spend the cold winter months in a nice warm spot in California. Best wishes for speedy recoveries to Kenneth Palmer and Mae Black who are patients at the San Juan Hospital in Monti-ceU- o. His welcome home testimonial will be held on November 27 at 11 a.m. in the North Chapel. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Guymon went to Salt Lake and St. George last week to visit their children. Leo and Veva Black attended the funeral for her brother, Dee Galbraith, in Orem on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan Johnson and Tim and Laurel Reed and children are on their way to El Paso today, Wednesday, to spend Thanksgiving with their daughter Deana McClellan and her husband Keith and children. While there, they. wiU also visit Tims folks. Jess and Alton Grover were excited to have their daughter Denise and her husband, Steven Briscoe and their two youngsters, Jessica and Ryan, visit with them for a week in October. The family had an early Thanksa salmon fish giving dinner was This the first time the fry. Grover Grandparents and family have seen 14 month old Ryan. The Briscoes had been to Rigby, Idaho for a visit with Steves parents, Glen and Elsie Briscoe and family, the week prior to coming to Blanding. Jess, Afton and Gordon Grover drove with Steve and Denise to Seattle to see them off on the Air Force jet to return to duty at Mosawa Air Base in Japan. The Grovers had a nice visit with Jeffs sister, Iva and her husband D. Cobb and family. They visited the SSpace Needle and the 1962 Worlds Fair pavilions. There was rain three of the four days they were in Seattle but they report that it is a Congratulations to Margie H. Lyman on reaching the glorious age of 85 on November 25. We we wish her a lot more happy birthdays. Now is the time to mail Christmas packages to addresses overseas if they are to reach friends and loved ones in time for Christmas. The Blanding elementary schools PTA is sponsoring a Book Fair on December 29 and 30 at the BES library. Parents may purchase good books and music for gifts for children. A District Boy Scout campout for all scouts is scheduled for Contact Steve December 3. Lovell for details. A reminder! As Christmas draws near we sometimes wonder what we could possibly give family, friends and neighbors that doesnt cost a fortune, A gift of ones time and talents is usually very mich such as a pan of appreciated hot fresh, rolls, a loaf of bread, or a plate of cookies just hits the spot. How about a friendly visit to a lonely neighbor or offering to babysit the neighbors children while mother goes 2-- f shopping for an hour or two. Or run an errand for someone.
