The presentation was made at the annual Chamber of Commerce M. Keele photo banquet. Bayles Blanding Citizen of Year Grant L. Bayles, who served eleven years as a bishop, two years as a San Juan County Commissioner, and two years as Blanding councilman received the honor of Citizen of the Year last Thursday evening. as he is Bishop Bayles, affectionately called, was born in Bluff in 1904, eighth of 13 children of Hansen Bayles. He and his wife Josephine are parents of two sons, Lloyd and Finley. Their home has been a foster home for several other children.
