Debra is a graduate of Monticello High School and is currently employed at Hogies. Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cooper Jones of Monticello. Dawn is a graduate of Logan High School and has been art at Utah State studying icello High School and filled a mission for the LDS Church in the Canada Halifax area. Mr. and Mrs. Russel Larson from Sandy, Utah, spent the weekend with the Rex Johnsons and went on to Lake Powell Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Sanderson and twins attended church at Eastland Sunday with the Allen Tracys, then went on to the Tracy reunion in Dove Creek. The table was centered with a huge three-tiere- d wedding cake decorated with three golden bells and Happy Golden Anniver- sary, Dad & Mom. Master of cermonies was the eldest son, Douglas, Jr. Many family stories were told and happenings m the family during the past 30 years were related. Their children are Douglas, Jr., Wallace, William (Bill), and Lillian Barnett. Tributes to their parents were paid by a member of each family. Their son Wallace was unable to attend as he is on assignment in Korea by his company, but members of his fam- ily represented him there. The honored guests were married June 6, 1928, in the Salt Lake Temple. The dinner was held in Salt Lake City June 25 instead of June 6 because of other commitments by family members. After dinner, Aaron, 8, and Anne, 7, children of Barbara and Bill, sang a cute little number, and grandson Douglas Cecil, son of Douglas, Jr., and Joan, played a couple of numbers on his trumpet, one of which was Danny Boy, which is his grandfathers favorite tune. Young Doug Cecil plays m and directs a six -- piece orchestra which is rated in the top ten of popular orchestras in the Salt Lake Valley. After the program, visiting and picture taking concluded the evenings entertainment. Incidentally, Nellie and Hurst were married the same day as the Galbraiths in the same year. The program is from 3 to 6 p.m. each Thursday and will last through the rest of July. It is for children 3 to 11, and as many as 75 children have attended some of the sessions. Tikonis Club members are the volunteer story tellers, and by the time the program is completed, each of the clubs 36 members will have participated. |
