Camslot Glittering with melody and Snow simmering with zest, theCam-elCollege production of ot on March 13 was one of the most successful theatrical adventures of the Kig-al- ia Fine Arts Council. Presented m the San Juan High School auditorium m Blanding to a large audience, Cam-el- ot was a tremendous educational experience for the audience. Especially responsible for this success was Jerry Jensen, who played King Arthur as as Richard professionally Burton did on the Broad wav stage. His tremendous acting ability, very unexpected for a junior college student, carried the play to an exciting, stimulating conclusion. Kerri Smith as Queen Guinevere was as beautiful as she was capable. Her melodious made the songs of voice Cameiot come alive. Earlier m the day Mrs. Adams drama classes were treated to a special workshop conducted by Mr. Richard Has -lam, associate professor and head of the theatrical arts department of Snow College. During the workshop, students were given experiences m reacting to other characters and learning to support each other on the stage. Mr. Haslam advised them to listen to each other and to each others lmes, that trust between actors was very essential, and to become the character they were portraying so intensely that the lines would flow. Students were then shown different forms of voice exercises used by many famous actors. The relationship between the audience and the actor, powers of concentration, and learning to study people and their methods were also related. At the same time the workshop was being conducted, five San Juan High School students were also receiving instruction on using the lights and sounds systems.
