Bruce Redd spent Christmas day with the Stieneckerts in Hayward, California, who have since moved to Logan, Utah. They were houseguests of Bruce's parents, the Lyman Redds. Bruce is serving a Mr. mission in California. Stieneckert is the new manager of Zales, in the new mall in Logan. They brought their new boat with them and spent one day at Lake Powell. They explained the program so that others can help them with referrals of new people who move into our community be they members of the church or not. This program is sort of like the Welcome Wagon program in other communities. It is suggested that everyone in the community be ready to join in with the Wilcoxes in extending a welcoming hand to new people when they move into our community. Palmer and her daughter, Mrs. Maxine Christensen ofMonticellowent to parts of California last week to visit Ruth's brothers, Dr. John Bertram Peterson and Lewis Peterson. The Petersons are natives of Blanding and the old timers here will well remember them. Fern and Woody Simpson have sold their, home here to Mr. and Mrs. Roger Clark. The Simpsons will go back to Bluff. They have a large new mobile home that they will live in. Mr. Clark is our postes master. Steve and Janet Wilcox spent days the first part of June in Idaho visiting friends and family. While at Steve's folks in Heyburn they got to see three of his brothers and sisters and their families and 21 of their cousins. They also visited with Janet's grandmother in Pocatello, Idaho, and 10 flood-damag- LIVE AT THE FLOWER SHOP IN BLANDING! Hi Q stayed with her sister in Felt, Idaho. Since Janet's mother, Margaret Keeler, hasnt gotten her home she in is yet staying Felt, also. They also visited with Janets two eligible bachelor" brothers. Irrigation water has been cut back over 50 per cent in the Burley-Heybu- rn area and about 30 per cent in the upper Snake River Valley. It was only a year ago June 5 that the Teton Dam broke, and the communities of Rexburg and Sugar City have made an impressive comeback. Most visible signs of the flood are gone now and businesses are rebuilt and expanding. Brian and Sylvia Stubbs and their children are at BYU in Provo, where he is studying toward a college degree. They recently became the parents of a new baby girl. They will return to their home here when his summer session at the school ends. They have three children.
