Loise and Tuffy Overton returned Sunday from a trip to F ort Hood and Gatesville, Texas, where they visited relatives. Two of their grand- children returned with them. The Carmens, Snooks and Graham families packed up last Wednesday morning early and went to Williams Creek, Colorado for a big camping trip. Wanda and Toby Williams and children made a trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico to take Susan Blair to catch a bus for Monahans, Texas. Susan has spent the past few weeks visiting her sister, Wanda. Dan and Sheron Bruce and girls spent the past weekend with the L.J. Bruce family in La Plata, New Mexico. Friday night we went to see Conway Twitty in Farmington. He was quite an entertainer and so was the mass of people who turned out to see him. Jackie, Mike, Dawn and little Michele Scott spent a few days in Santa Fe, New Mexico where they met Jackies parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gunn of Forrest, New Mexico. Tom and Darlene Whatley received burns in an accident on the San Juan Bridge Thursday morning early. Both were hospitalized. Darlene was released Sunday and Tom was serious enough that he will have to remain in the San Juan Mrs. Irene Marold and daughter, and Mrs. Myrtle Hunt visited here Sunday with Myrtle Davis and Fern New- Hospital for several more days. If anyone is in that area, he can have visitors and would probably enjoy the company to pass the time. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Laugher-t- y County and Carol took their vacation to Los Angeles, California and up the Washington coast. They toured Disneyland and had a great time. On their way back they visited their son, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Laugherty, and children of Their Glendale, Arizona. and came Glen Lori children, home with their grandparents for a few weeks. Dee and Annette Me Alpine spent two weeks in Live Oak, California visiting Dees mother, Mrs. David Earl. While there they visited Gene Guthrie, of Sacramento and Shirley Woods, from Concord, California. ' Dee said the trip was quite nice except for the awful bus ride there and back. There were several Lions International Club members with sore, blistered hands after Monday night. They started the fence for the new Lions Club park, which should be very nice when it is completed. It is setting on the highway so it will not only serve the people of the community but a rest stop for travelers who pass our way. Mr. and Mrs. Kirk came from Hobbs, New Mexico to return their grandsons Vince and Curtis Bizzellhome after a months stay. Bad luck seemed to hit Kirk when he arrived because he became ill and had to spend his vaca (Please turn to page 12) La-Ca- ze port. Maude Hunt is enjoying the company of three of her grandchildren this week. Renee and By KATIE ATKIN Rooney White has returned to Mexican Hat. He was accompanied by his grandfather, who visited here for a few days before returning to Ohio. Also returning are Luthee and Sylvia Risenhoover. They have spent the last month traveling the southwest, stopping in Oklahoma City to visit with their son and his family. Its nice to have them back. Kevin Dalton is visiting here with his grandparents, Ron and Myrtle Davis. Jim Hunt has been tending Mexican Hat while Jeff and Myrt have been spending their time at their cabin. Also making it on their own is Jack Pehrson and family while Anna is in Provo taking education classes at BYU. The Atkin family spent last week visiting in Beaver with family and friends and then on to Salt Lake for more of the same. Our thanks, to Har-li- n Harrison and T.J. Jr. for taking care of things whle we were gone. In case there is anyone who might be interested, there is a First Aid class every Monday and Wednesday at the Deseret Queen Cafe. Also, the supplies have arrived for the ambulance, and with the First Aid training we hope to provide the best emergency service possible. Cheryl are here from Phoenix and Micheal is from Salt Lake.
