Show f w 1 MRS, FLORENCE GALBRAITH Mrs, Bill Ashley and child- ren, who have spent the past few weeks here from Texas visiting her mother, Mrs, Marian G, Nielson, left for her home the first of the week! Sunday evening Mr. Clyda Palmer entertained in her honor, inviting in several of her former classmates. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rich I ns of Farmington, Utah were busi- ness callers in town Wednesday evening and were house guests at the Doug Galbraith home, Mr. Rich! ns' father and grandf father were Old Mexico friends of Mr. Galbraith. Mr. Richins is employed by "Twirl Town Toys. " Mrs. Gene Hacking has been enjoying a visit from her daughter, Anna Marie Steck and her husband-antheir children. The Stecks live at Kearns, Utah. It has come to our attention that onetime resident Mrs. Olivia S. Thomell, 86, passed away August 3rd of natural d WHAT STYLE, WHAT GRACE! (?) Mrs. Dot Laws and sons, Val and Hart, have been in Denver visiting her son Cleston and his family, and the Jim Libbertons who live there now. Brent and Stuart Lyman of Provo were in town the last of the week to visit relatives and attent to business matters. These men were former Blanding and Monticello residents, and are sons of Mrs. Platte D. Lyman and the late Mr. Lyman. They are grandsons of the A. R, Lymans, and are presently dealing in mobile homes out of 59 75 69 65 69 Provo. The young lad fell from the back of a pickup. Carl D. Mangum was bom August 2, 1960 in Salt Lake City to Carl B. and Sharleen G. Mangum. He was a member of the LDS Church, attended Herriman Elementary School, and was a member of the guide patrol. Survivors are his parents and the following brothers and sisters: Jeanie Lee, Cory Daun, Dave Wesley Ricky Byron, all of Herriman; and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. J. Wesley Mangum of Elmo, and Mrs. Louvine Guymon of Blanding. Funeral services were held in the Herriman Ward Chapel on Thursday. Burial in the Her-- I riman cemetery. Our entire community wishes to extend its deepest sympathy to the mio D causes at her home in Salina, Utah in Sevier County, She was bom April 4, 1885 in Salina to Christian C. and Karen Hansen Scorup. She married Jesse Thomell December 24, 1913 in Salt Lake LDS Tempie, He died April 19, 1350. Mrs. Thornell was a school teacher, and held many other responsible positions In her church as well as civic affairs, and organized several school lunch programs in Seveir County, and was county librarian for many years. She retired several years ago. She is survived by sons James Lyle and Jesse Richard (Dick) both of Salina and one sister, Alvida S. Anderson also of Salina. Funeral services were held last Friday in Salina with 'burial in the Pioneer Cemetery in Salina. Friends in our com' munity send their sympathy to the family at this time. Word has been received here e death of. 011 bout at the hospital in Ogden. We hope the doctors have got to the bottom of his trouble, and that he'll soom be himself again.
