Show V The La Sal Junction Lounge was robbed Sunday night, Nov. 22. Entry was . made by the back door. Safe and filing cabinet combination was stolen. They lost approximately $2000. 00 in cash, checks, and credit cards. Two rabbit hunters, Brent Chitester and Don Newsome, both from Moab, found the safe in the Brown Hole Area. The contents had been burned. Warrents for two suspects have been filed. Bad weather over the weekend caused several accidents. On Nov. 26, Thanksgiving day at 9 a. m. a K 35 Bechvraft piloted by Ronald A. Wischer, tried to make an emergency landing on the Lisbon Valley road about a mile west of Marco Copper Mine. The plane hit a power line and flipped in midair. Passengers in the plane were Mr. J. R. Case and his wife, Marjorie and their daughter Marjorie Ram-stett- er 1 Brisbim all of El Paso. Texas. They were all taken to the Monticello Hospital bv Dick Smith and Pat Shannon. The three were examined and released, however, Mr. Case remained in the hospital for a few indays. All accidents were vestigated by Deputy Verle Green. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Turner motored to Globe, Arizona for the Thanksgiving holiday, while there they visited with Mr. Turners family and many friends.
