Show Christensen family holds reunion Reception to honor Mrs. Carroll An opcnhouse will be held in Salt Lake City on Sunday, June 28 for a very lovely little lady who formerly lived here. On June 18. 19, and 20 the Miss Lelia Perkins to wed Mr. Jones annua reunion o! the Christensen family met at Dalton Springs. All twelve, members of the family were present. Mr. and Mrs. Black of Monticello joined the grotq on Triday night to visit and become acquainted with the newest members of the familv. Manyr other friends visited with the family and welcomed them home once again. The twelve members are sons and daughters ol the late Ray and Melissa Christensen and all crew up in Monticello. They are Ray Leon Christensen; Walter Kent 'Christensen; Eileen Black; Jay Christensen; Neldon Jarvis Christensen; Norma Majors; Samuel Wayne Christensen; Cleo Rogers; Dennis Duane Christensen; Marion Lovitt; Judy Yost; and Janis Shumway. Mr. Black is the stepfather of the children. There were four generations represented and a total of 64 members were present. 1 Mrs. Annie E. Carroll will pass her 90th birthday milestone on that day and her family extend an open invitation to all her friends from far and near to come and visit her between the hours of 2 until 8 C-lc- p. m. The open house will be held at her home at 139 Second Avenue in Salt Lake. Last summer Mrs. Carroll came down for a few weeks visit with her daughter, Mrs. Earl (Beth) Wright and she could often be seen in the Wright's garden pulling weeds and tending the tender plants. She is still full of the vigor of youth despite her many years. While living here, she always raised a lovely' vegetable garden and beautiful flowers. She still does all her own housework. She had a family of nine children, six of whom are still living. They are sons Vivan, Lester, Willard, Tom, and Thell and daughter, Mrs. Beth Wright. Ter eldest son, Clarence, passed away several years ago and her son, Denton . gave his life for his' II. War World in country One small daughter died in infancy when whe was 10 davs old.
