He reports that he is o. k. Mrs. Jessie Harvey is back in Monticello after an extended visit with her son, Ray, and family in New Mexico. While there, they took her to Old Mexico for a visit, and also took her to visit her son Clarence, and family in Nogales, Ariz. Barbara and daughter Monica , returned home with them for a week's visit. During her visit the family enjoyed their first trip into the Canyonlands. . Barbara's husband, Mr. Tom Abraham Begay, who has lived at the San Juan County Nursing Home since Dec. 15, 1969, died in the San Juan County Hospital Tuesday morning, March 17, following a short illness. He attended Sacrament meeting, Sunday afternoon at four, and seemed about as well as usual. Monday, he became ill, and was unable to attend Relief Society. When his condition was worse, Tuesday morning, he was moved to the hospital where he died a short time later. Abraham was born in San Juan County Oct. 15, 1881. He lived with his wife, Lena Begay on McCracken Mesa, and they were the parents of a number of children. He spent most of his life working as a herder.
