Show Miss Hess weds in Temple Purcells celebrate 50th anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Van Purcell will celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary on June 20 and to honor their parents their children are holding an Open House on June 15 at the home of the Purcells at East Summit. Van Purcell and the former Elva Wright were married on June 20, 1919, at Tucumcari, N. M. , where Mrs. Purcell spent most of her early life. Mr. Purcell's father home- The Salt Lake LDS Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah, was the setting for the June 11th wedding of Miss Stephanie Hess of Monticello and Mr. Henry G. Knam, Jr. , of Maywood, New Jersey. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin K. Hess of Monticello and the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry G. Knam, Sr. , of Maywood, New Jersey. The bride is a graduate of Monticello High School and just Want more mileage? graduated from Salt Lake College of Medical and Dental Assistants. The groom graduated from Bogota High School and will attend Brigham Young University in the fall where he will major in Anthropology. He hopes to secure his doctorate in this field as well. He has recently completed a Southwest Indian Mission for the LDS Church. Following a wedding trip to New Jersey the young couple will be at home at Provo, Utah. Their daughter, Nelda Moyers lives in Louisville, Ky. , and their son, Earl, lives in Richmond, Cal. Mr. Purcell has farmed a great deal of his life, especially since moving to San Juan County. Mr. and Mrs. Frost were married in the Salt Lake Temple n May 28, 1919. They have ived in San Juan County most of their lives, Mr. Frost homesteading at Dodge Point. He las been a farmer and cattleman for his lifetime. Mrs. having all of her children with them on this once in a lifetime event. All five of their children plan to be here for the Open House honoring their parents on the occasion of their ration with them and enjoyed the dinner and anniversary cake.
