Today is That's the day set side by the Utah Tuberculosis and Health Association to remind citizens to answer their Christmas Seal letter with a contribution, stated Mason W. Smith, Salt Lake City, president of the Association. Each year the organization sets one day aside during their annual Christmas Seal Campaign to remind Utahns that have put off sending in their contributions, to get them in on Mr. Smith said, "Christmas Seal letters are often misplaced or forgotten. When they forget the Utah Tuberculosis ana Health Association, many people will suffer. The money is not only spent on work in tuberculosis, but emphysema, chronic bronchitis, and many other respiratory diseases, along with air pollution and cigarette smoking. " "More than ever, the Association needs increased funds to maintain the stepped up program of eradicating tuberculosis, and the more diversified program of controlling other respiratory diseases, in Utah, " added Mr. Smith. He stated that 93 per cent of the funds received this year by the Association will remain in Utah to fight these diseases, while 7 per cent will go to the National Tuberculosis Association for research and nation-wid- e education. "To date, Christmas Seal contributions total about $38,000, but the Utah Tuberculosis and Health Association will need to top $50,000 if basic program for 1968 is to be carried out," said Mr. Smith. Various musical numbers were given, including the selection "Far Away on Judea's Plains" and a vocal trio consisting of Janet Murdock, Deanne Randall and LaRayne Hanson sang. The opening prayer was given by Harry Randall. Elder Adams told about the Brazilian people and their love for each other.
