On Thursday evening, Feb. 23, the Monieuma Creek Cub Scouts, Den el, held their first Blue and Cold Ba Approximately titty relatives and friends of the boys enjoyed a potluek supper followed by awards and a safety skit put on by the Den members. The dining tables were placed la a U shape and were decorated with middle runners of blue and gold. Special place mats and napkins also decorated the tables. It was a pleasant evening and I'm sure everyone is looking forward to the next one. Natoni John and Allen Roan-hors- e, two El Paso employees, were injured in a freak accident in the plant yard last weekend. Both men were taken to the Monticello hospital. Also hospitalized was Diana Nelson who was accidentally shot in the leg Sunday, The bullet went completely through her leg and into the pickup in which she was sitting. She and a few others were on their way back from the local rifle range. We have two new families in camp. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mosely and their four children moved from Kermit, Tex., and Mr, and Mrs. Connie Stockton came from the Williams, Ariz. , plant. Clad to have them in our cbmrr.unity. On Saturday evening, the teenagers had a surprise birthday party for Linda Clement. Linda's sister, Mrs. Cail Carvell, acted as chaperone for the evening. Sure have to give those teenagers a hand after the way they decorated Jan and Orion Peikeit's car for their wedding trip. There was no doubt that it belonged to newlyweds when they got through. Ralph Burtenshaw was admitted to San Juan Hospital last Friday but his condition is good, although his release for the hospital is pending. Ken Mciienrcy, fiance of Miss Betty Black, drove to Blanding to spend the weekend with Grant Bayles and his family and to visit Miss Black. He was accompanied by Calvin Bayles, Danny Palmer, Mar-lcBlack and Katherine Nielson, all of whom came from Provo to attend the Cold and Creen Ball.
