George Marion was the chairman of the social evening. The Senior class of Monti-cellHigh school returned Sunday evening from a trip to Phoenix. The students, with their advisors, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Nelson and assistants, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Rasmussen, left Monticello Thursday afternoon and spent the night in Flagstaff. The next morning before leaving, the class visited Northern Arizona State college. Arriving in Phoenix around noon Friday, everyone clamored to the inviting pool. Friday evening was spent in Scottsdale where modern shops and merchandise were housed in quaint stores of the bygone era. Saturday morning started a tour of the valley. Arizona State college was the first attraction. From there the to Mesa, group journeyed where the class took pictures of the Mesa Temple. A program was presented with the following persons performing: Mr. and Mrs. Dick Williams, a piano duet; Mr. Williams, solo, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Williams; Mrs. Corless Chapman, vocal solos; and a talk by Darroll Young on the ' 12 Boy Scout rules.
