He was born April 16th, 1889 in Belview, Utah to Joel H. and Margaret Threlkeld Johnson. He married Annetta Hielson Nov. 9th, 1900 She in he L. .D. S. Temple. 1930. The aim of the program is to encourage more high school students to take up science careers by improving the quality of science instruction in the high schools. Dr Parmley said the year of study will run from Sept. 1957 to June 1958. Participants in the program will receive a Master of Science Education degree. Mr. Rowleys scholarship provides for a stipend of $3,000; one for each dependent; years tuition in the Graduate School of the University of Utah, travel allowance; and a book allowance.
