Beginning Monday morning, September 20, a magazine subscription sale was started similar to the one sponsored by the high school Student body Coun cil which netted the school $400 last year. It is hoped by the council that they can clear $800 in the present drive. If that amount can. be made the much needed cyclorama set for the stage will be assured. With the $120 ($50 from the PTA and $70 from Mrs. Leon Adams) now on hand, the $1000 promised by the local Board of Education and with a group of energetic student salesmen and supported by their parents, its should not be hard to get the additional $800. The percentage of the subscription money that goes to the school is generous, ranging from . Fifty percent of all 35 to 50 renewal subscriptions are retained. As an added incentive, any student selling $100 worth of magazines will receive a $52.50 watch. Everybody in the community will have an opportunity to buy his favorite magazine and at the same time, help with a very worthy cause. 4-- H to the Rebus Rota Literary Club Friday afternoon was Mrs. Carlos Hyde. The flowers were astistically aranged on individual tables set in a semi circle, lengthwise of the room. The radiant bride, gowned in a white ballerina length dress of lace over satin, greeted her guests with the groom and maid of honor, Miss Janet Allred, standing on either side of her. Others in the line were th bridesmaids, Miss Kathrine Jones, Farming-to- n and Miss Cora Bell Hassel, Salt Lake City; the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Barton and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. B Barton, and Mr and Mrs Clarence Frost; and the sister of the groom and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hethke, Salt Lake City. Assisting with the serving were Beverly Jones, Sharon Rob son and Nancy Palmer under the supervision of Mrs. Pearl Lewis an aunt of the bride. The many and beautiful gifts were displayed on a long table centered with a five tierred wedding cake, iced in white, decorated with pink, blue and silver, and topped with a bride and groom standing under a wedding bell arch. In charge of the gifts were Mrs. Helen Halls, Mrs. Nancy Bradford, Glenis Lewis and Carol Whipple. The guests were served at attractively laid card tables on the stage. On either, side of the stage steps, large baskets of fall flowers were placed. Over 150 guests called to congratulate the newly weds and to participate in dancing to the music of the Jewkes orchestra. Sunday evening the YWMIA executives entertained the Fireside Chat group in the Relief Society room in the LDS church.
