Mr. and Mrs. Gene McKinnon and young son spent, Saturday and Sunday We Got to the Fish Fry After All That community fish fry was sure a great success. There were plenty of appetizing extras, and Will Dudley did a right wonderful job of frying the fish soft and flaky inside brown and crisp around the edges. But we didnt get to go. The missus was tired after working in the yard, and we just didnt want to leave her. Then how did we know the fish was so good? Because the folks didnt forget us. They sent Skippy Henderson over with two steam ing covered plates of fish, and a pitcher of cool, sparkling beer. And we finished them off in front of our own fire. From where I sit, thats one of the things that makes our town so nice a place to live in: a spirit of share and share alike. That plate of fish and glass of beer werent just great eating, they were symbols of the thoughtfulness that makes for better living! a thick, jiucy steak? Man, there's a meal! This is particularly true of medium and lower grades of beef which have s lest? fat mixed with the lean. To reheat sliced roast beef without drying it, use a double boiler. Or it can be served cold with hot tomato or chili sauce, or gravy. In such dishes as hash, croquettes, stews, soups and meat pies, the cream sauce, gravy, or soup stock keeps the meat moist.
