As chairman of this drive in our community, I wish to thank every Afton Weston, who will spend the week here with her folks. Rufus Humphrey took the plane to Ogden on a truck. Aquila came to visit his sister, Mrs. Mary Skipper Must Know Onions The skipper of a ship in the worldwide vegetable trade has to know his onions. Dry varieties are packed by the 50 or sack, or sometimes by the bushel. A bushel of early onions weighs 50 pounds, but a bushel of late onions weighs 57 pounds. Bunched green onions are shipped by the 50 to crate. Onion sets, by the bushel, weigh 28 to 32 pounds. 100-pou- Leftover Meats Leftover meats reheated have a tendency to become dry. This is particularly true of medium ana lower grades of beef which have less fat mixed with the lean. To reheat sliced roast beef without drying it, use a double boiler. Or it can be served cold with hot tomato or chili sauce, or gravy. In such dishes as hash, crpquettes, stews, soups and meat pies, the cream sauce, gravy, or soup stock keeps the meat moist. Ground cooked beef and either relish or ground cooked vegetables moistened with salad dressing, make a tasty sandwich filling. Boxed Crackers Mass production of folding paner boxes, now used to package thou- sands of consumer products, began in the 18!?0s as the result of a marketing problem which faced the manufacturer of a newly developed soda cracker. The manufacturer found thi his product required protection from air and roisture in order to rumain fresh, crisp and appetizing, so he packaged it in a folding paper box with a waxed paper lining. Soon other manufacturers followed suit. CHARLIE, THE CHEERFUL SERVICE STATION MAN SAYS; " Service with MM. profitable business. Make it M-m- Paper-Makin- g ) PUBLICIT iV in a humid kitchen.
