Show -- r - At 1 PAROWAN TIM PAROWAN TIMES, PAROWAN, UTAH. DUMBER FIFTEEN The Parowan Rams met a strong competitor last week at Beaver when they tangled with the Beaver Beavers in a very exciting game. The Rams broke ahead at the first and held their lead all the way, although the Beavers threatened this lead at the last of the game. Don Stubbs, Connell Mitchell, Kent Whitney, Reed Thornton, and John Simkins went out to meet the Beaver five at the beginning of the game. John Simkins, collecting four fouls, was replaced by Stuart Adams in the second quarter but was put back with the starting five to begin the second half of play. Although he went out in the third quarter, he played a very fine game. Through his hustle and fight, Reed Thornton, although a small man, did exceptionally well at taking the bank boards, bringing the ball off more tnan any other man on the floor. Connel1 Mitchell didnt do to well on scoring but played an excellent floor game. Don Stubbs and Kent Whitney led the Rams with 111 points each. This game was played fast except for the scoring, with both teams showing fight and very good sportsmanship. The Parowan boys were cramped up on the small floor, and when Beaver pushed them hard, they just couldnt seem to click. It looked as though Parowan was going to walk right over the Beavers, but the Beavers, pushing our boys hard, almost caught the Rams. The Rams looked up at the score board in time to see them coming, but not in time to do much about it. However, the buzzer went off with Parowan on top, 44 - 40. The Beavers top scorer was Golden Adams with 12 points. 1 MR I Search For Rams Topple Beavers To Parowan Water Supply Classed Hold First Place In League "Not Approved" By Dale Robinson 1 ARY J, 56 .t. w i.
