Iwe hour, after her husband had left her on the river bank, Mrs. Loper was ducovered in serious condition hy Harry Aleson, noted riverman, ind Ralph Badger of Salt Lake City, who were making a river expedi ion Aie.on left the injured woman with Badger, and following Lopers trail, returned with him aix hour) later. Aleion then repaired Loper, new 16 horsepower outboard motor, inxtalh-it on Badgers boat and took the injured woman 28 milet upstream to the mouth of the San Rafel River, where he was forced to swun ashore and hike to the Mars mg Ranch In an hour he returned Seven hours with an automobile. after the accident Mrs. Loper was under a physicians care at Greer Riser, Utah. Had Aleson and Badger failed to come along the river whe they did, it is doubtful that either Mrs. Loper or her husband would have been alive today.
