Show f any violation of a City al knowledge Ordinance, or upon receiving reliable information of any such violation, immediately institute the necessaiy steps to bring the ollenders to justice. Sec. 3. The City Council may when any su.e.y dies, or becomes insolvent, or when ttiey deem the bond of any officer unsafe, require a new bond; and if the officer so required to furnish it upon ie- quest so to do for a period of 20 days alter notification by ths Recorder, it will be sufficient cause for his removal from oflice by the Council, 1 ' The Recorder. He shall also keep a plat of all official surveys within tue City. Sec. 6. The Recorder may appoint, subject to the approval of the City Coun-- ' cil, one or more deputies, for whose ' official acts he shall be responsible. 1 Supervisor of Streets. Sec. 7. It shall be the duty of the Supervisor ol streets to lake charge of all streets, alleys, sidewalks and liigli- ways in the City, and Superintend all work done therein; Provided he shall at all times be subject to and act under the direction of the City Council.
