Gunnison is so situated that it will be some time before we get eletrio lights. In view of this the commercial club is working for a gasoline lighting system. Main street with the telephone poles in th center of the street and the grade across San pitch is rather dangerous on dark nights, no the lighting of this street will be of great benefit to the public and a big improvement to the town. The club needs a greater membership. Every business man, sheep-mefarmers, and every live citizen should join the commercial club and work for a bigger and better Gunnison. Eira Shomaker, Joseph Y. In the main, dry farming has been carried on very satisfactorily and the returns justify unlimited faith in the fnture of this industry, From Cache Coun-ion the north to Washington County on tbe south, the yields have been very satisfactory. More and more faith is being developed in the possibilities of arid farming and everywhere confidence is taking the place of uncertainty and doubt. An average of 22 bushels of wheat is reported from San Pete County, 28 bushels from Cache County, 17 bushels from Tooele County, 12 bushels from Sevier County, 25 bushels from Washington County, 25 bushels from Juab County and so on. It is evident that these yields on land worth but a few years ago, but $1 50 per acre are encouraging and we have no doubt that with better methods and choicer varieties these average yields can be made much better. The year in dry farming har been so satisfactory that even the most pessimistic are beginning to realize its wonderous possibiL itiea.
