In that show she placed fifth on the test, first in Fitting and Showmanship, first in Western Horsemanship, fourth in Reining, and second in Trail. She went on to the State Individual Show and placed 10th on the test, 12th in Trail, and 16th Sitting on Comanche. Two-Hand- Dakin John Allred, shown on his Show. There were well over 100 contestants in each division at state with each county sending their top five riders from each division. The Emery County kids competed against the best of the best, and of the 24 buckles handed out at state, Emery County brought home five of them and won more ribbons and prizes than any other county in the stale. The Horsemanship members appreciate all the cities, businesses, and individuals who have donated money, time, andor equipment to the program. All donations go toward year-enawards and to help maintain equipment and they appreciate Castle Dale City for the use of the arena for their shows and all other cities for the use of arenas for practices and clinics. County Plaeings Emery County contestants compete in five shows during the summer and earn points which accumulate to determine the top five placing's. 'These top five contestants qualify to compete at the Stale Shows. The 200 top five plaeings were as follows: Senior Division: Amy Langston first place, Tawny Cornier second place, Jesse Jensen third place, Samantha Rudman fourth place, and Jaeie Fasselin fifth place. Intermediate Division: Cade Whittle first place, Benjamin Toomer second place, Kelby Farnsworth third place. Caitlin Edwards fourth place, and Amy Allen fifth place. Junior Division: Many Langston first place. 4-- H d 1 Camie Whittle second place, Dakin Allred third place, Taylor Jew kos fourth place, and Cindi Stevens fifth place. Samantha Rudman repre- sented Emery County in the Senior Division very well. She received a Blue Ribbon in the Quadrangle Race. Benjamin Toomer, showing his first year in the Intermediate Division, made Emery County spot in judged events. proud by placing fourth in trail and taking the seventh He sped to a third place in barrels, and eighth in the Quadrangle Race, placing him at 14th place overall in speed events. He placed 17th on his Test, 20th in Poles, and 12th place in the Quadrangle Race. Caitlin Edwards showed in her first State Individual Show and finished in 14th place in the Barrels, 6th place in the Quadrangle Race, and finished in 24th place She also received a Blue Ribbon in the Fitting and Showmanship Class. In this show she took sixth on the the test, second in Western Horsemanship, sixth in reining, seventh in trail, and finished sixth The next day, in Individual State the on Show her horse, Disco, showing she earned third on her test, fifth in Western Horsemanship, and third in Trail, taking her to a second place judged event finish. She took 17th in Barrels, and ninth in Quadrangle, putting her in 20th place for speed events. She ended up with a fourth place Two-Hand- Johnson was surprised to get a call the day before the State Individual Show and learn that she was going to state because someone else had to drop out.
