Show 24 Emery County Fair Guide July 2004 fry County General Instructions exhibitors must be residents of Emery County. 2. All exhibits will be accepted between 2 and 6 p.m. on Aug. 3. Except: fruits, vegetables, baked goods and flowers. These exhibits will be accepted Aug. 4 at 9 a.m. 3. All departments will offer childrens, adults and senior citizens categories if needed. 4. Any entry previously exhibited will not be accepted. 5. Exhibits will be open to the public on Aug. 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Aug. 7 from 1 to 7 p.m. 6. All exhibits will be picked up Aug. 9 between 9 a.m. and Noon. No Exhibits Will Be Released Until Aug. 9. No Exceptions. 7. The fair will not be responsible for any exhibits left after the pick-u- p time. 8. The fair will use the utmost care to secure the safety of all exhibits. 9. No objectionable exhibits will be accepted. 10. Judging is always done by a group of dedicated volunteers from another county. They try to be fair and do the job to the best of their abilities. 1. All cook off, chili cook off, salsa and ice cream contests. Demonstrations are designed to attract interested fair attendees and will offer a unique learning opportunity on many topics. Sculpture, pottery, fly tying, family history, digital photography, water-colo- rs and daily scrapbooking. Just to name a few. These events are geared for all ages and gender. Come and enjoy the fun and entertain- ment learn and participate. 5-- Contests & Demonstrations Exciting contests such as Dutch oven AgricultureHorticulture (grains, nuts & honey) Chairman: fruits, vegetables, 2 Uneta Grange All entries for this category must be Fresh and entered on Aug. 4, at 9 a.m. just before judging. 1. All entries are limited to residents of Emery County and all products must have been grown in Emery County. 2. All entries must be placed on a disposable plate or tray, paper or styrofoam. 3. All fruit and vegetable entries must contain five specimens. 4. The exhibit must be clean and all five need to of uniform shape and size. 5. 687-992- CaiK Root crops need to be firm, fresh, cleaned and free from soil. Root needs to be cut off 6. and tops need to be trimmed to one-incHoney - one pint. 7. Berries one full cup displayed on a plate. 8. Grapes - one plate full. 9. Nuts - one plate full. 10.
