She married Kenneth D. Anderson on Jan. 11, 193(5, in Price and their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple on April 24, 19(54. Svava was a loving mother to Shirnena (Sherry), Kenneth Bert (Buddy), Rodger Kit and Larry Kurt and a loving grandmother to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mom was fluent in both English and Icelandic and loved the Icelandic history and customs. She liked to travel and made two trips to Iceland to visit relatives and to work on genealogy: She was able to trace the one side back to Leif Erikson. She remained very close to the relatives in Iceland. She loved people and was great at buildingnew relationships. Mom was involved with many crafts and created wonderful items. She w as an avid quilter and created quilts of exceptional beauty for family and friends. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Saints. He was born June 25, 1923 in Clawson, to Arthur Ludene Cox, Sr and Theo Hitchccxk Cox. He married Irma Greenaulgh, had three children and later divorced. He then married Nina Croft 4 i hands, caring for his livestock and in his shop. He is survived by his wife Nina of Price and two children: Richard Cox of Texas and Jolynn Taylor of California; nine grandchildren and 12 Also survived by his brother making things n. r death by daughter Loraine, three sisters and one brother. (5, 2003 at Castleview Hospital. She was born June (5, 1942 in Lily, Pa. to Julia and Ernest Salina. Married Mark Madison June of 1980 in Huntington. She enjoyed sewing, painting ceramics and actively saving stray animals, especially cats. Member of the Catholic Church. Survived by husband, of Ferron; brother, Arthur Salina, Arizona; sister. Rose Shea, Pennsylvania; and a special niece, Robin Davis of Pennsylvania. Private family sendees were held after cremation in Pennsylvania. Marion Konakis SUNNYS1DEGRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Marion E Konakis of Grand Junction, Colo., passed away at his home on Sept. 14, 2003 at the age of (57. Marion was born Ike. 23, 19.35 at Sunnyside to Fotis M. and Ellen Belarus Konakis. He married Helen Kontas. She passed away April (5, 1988. He married Thelma Jean Weaver July 13, 1991. He spent his childhood and attended schools in Carbon County and he served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Marion retired as a brakeman and conductor from D&RGW Railroad in 1993. In addition to the railroad, he had worked on the family ranch herding sheep and as a coal miner in Carbon County. His hobbies included gardening, travel, hunting mid taking'trips to Las Vegas. The greatest love of his life was his grandchildren. Survivors included his wife, Thelma of Clifton, Colo.; son, John M. Konakis of Grand J unction; two stepsons, Wayne HoldingofFniita, Colo.; David Weaver of Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Elaine K. Miller (Daryl) of Denver, Colo.; Mariann Konakis (Keith Willimns) of Denver, Colo.; stepdaughters, Verna Stapleton of Grand Junction; brothers, Stan Konakis of Elko, New; five sisters, Bessie Markos of Ogden; Christine Cuatto of Salt Lake City, Olga Halamandaris of Savena Park, Md.; Geoigia Hohlios of Clearfield: mid Athena Kontas of IYice; four grandchildren, Janies Kenney, Ty Konakis, Dana Miller mid Darius D filler. He was preceded in death by parents, two brothers mid one sister. A visitation will be held Sept. 17, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Callahan-EdfaMortuary. Born April 6, 1924 in Hunting-to- n to Eugene and Ardella Larsen Sherman. Married Rela May Oliver Oct. 29, 1945 in Las HUNTINGTON-Jame- Vegas, Nev. Jim was one of Jehovahs Witnesses. He served in the US Air Force during W'orld War II. Longtime resident of Salt Lake and Huntington where he retired from Savage Brothers T rucking in Salt Lake City with many years of dedicated service. He loved camping and fishing. Survived by his wife, Rela May Sherman, Huntington; son, James C. (Susan) Sherman, Jr., West Valley City; daughter, Judy M. (James) Edwards, St. George; brother, Wilford (Vi) Sherman, Hayburn, Idaho. He was born Feb. 7, 1957 in Price, the son of William Kevin and Sharleen Fox Rowley. He married Lavarde Caldwell March 4, 1993. She preceded him in death. Steven had a great love for the mountains. He loved hunting and fishing. He had a time share condo in Preogo Springs, Colo. He loved to spend a wreek vacation every summer there. He was a coal miner at Deer Creek Mine for 27 years. After many years of constant pain and suffering, and many trials, he has been released to the arms of his Heavenly Father. Steven is survived his mother Sharleen Fox Rowley of Huntington, his aunt Elaine Hunting-to-n of Salt Lake, Aunt Annette Anderton of Kaysville. Also his HUNTLNGTON-Stev- en Colo, and Eleanor Jean Bryant, her partner Karen K. Heimbach, Salem. Ore.; five grandchildren, Valerie Jean Parrish of Grand Junction, Colo; VaLynn Jor- Ludene Cox, Jr., ur WE L L N G TON- - It ay m o n d Lester Borgeson, age S9. passed away Sept. 12, 2003 of black lung and emphysema in Grand Junction, Colo. He was born May 2 1, 1914 to John Borgeson, a Swedish immigrant and Bertha Adelle Weaver Borgeson in Lancaster, Atchinson. Kan. He was one of seven children. Both of his parents and all of his siblings preceded him in death. Raymond started working when he was 13 years old as a day laborer for neighbors. He also did some trapping and sold the furs to fur traders. He later went to barber college. At that time a haircut cost 25 cents and a shave was 15 cents. His work on the railroad took him to Wyoming where he got his first job in the coal mines. He mined in Wyoming, Colorado and Ctah. He worked with his father-in-laCharles C. Daniels at the Colovvyo Coal Company in Axial, Colo, prior to moving to Wellington, in 1950. He retired from Kaiser Steel in Sunnyside I mother is no longer in pain.
