He married Annette Reid, Nov. 28, 1969 in Castle Dale, later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple. He was a coal miner. Burial will be in Castle Dale Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary. Herbert Marshall HIAWATHA Herbert Louis Marshall, 83, died April 19, 1990 in West Jordan. Bom Oct. 8, 1906 in Orangeville, he was the son of William L. and Sarah Emery Otteson Marshall. He married Geneva Riches in Provo, Dec. 14, 1928; later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. She preceded him in death Aug. 29, 1985. He was a Boy Scout leader for 20 years. He received the Good Neighbor Award from Dan Valentine. He was an avid sportsman, amateur and semi-pr- o boxer, never defeated. He enjoyed flowers and gardening. He is survived by son, Jay, Kearns; daughters, Doris Ensminger; Laraine DiMercurio; Arlene Parkins, all of California; Dixie Link, Texas; 22 grandchilsisdren; 12 ters, Permillia Jensen, Salt Lake City; Sylvia Mae Judd; Dallas Schmidt, both Idaho; Piccola Peterson, East Carbon; Jenneal Hunt, California; brothers, Calvin, Kearns; Len, Sandy; and Melvin, Huntington. Players of the Week at Emery High, as selected by their coaches, are Mike Gagon in baseball, Chris Wilson in track, Becky Ilurdsman in softball and Melissa Arrington in track. Mike helped Emery to a win at Lehi by going one for two with a single and two walks. He also had three putouts in the game and leads the team in hitting with a .458 average. Chris set a school record of 1:58.50 in the 800 in the meet at Carbon. He was also on the winning 1,600 meter relay team. Becky pitched well for Emery in games against Uintah and Juab last week and hit a home run. Melissa placed first in the long jump with a personal best distance of 15'10" and was on the winning 400 meter relay team. Chris, Becky and Melissa are seniors at Emery while Mike is a sophomore. Sarah is the daughter of Maughn and Thelma Guymon of Huntington. She is 17 years old. Sarah is currently the first-chaflutist in the band. She is listed in the book of Whos Who Among American High School Students and is on the honor roll. Sarah likes all sports and especially likes to hike but her favorite hobby is drawing house plans. She plans to become a professional architect. After high school, Sarah will attend Utah State University, then the University of Utah and ir then she will go on to MIT. Bill is the son of and late the Doug Carolyn Wright of Clawson. He attended Boys State and Business Week in 1989. He is the second vice president of the Student Council and is listed in Whos Who Among American High School Students. Acting is Bills favorite activity. He has been in 10 plays so far and has received superior ratings at region and state drama competitions. Besides acting. Bill likes golfing, waterskiing and biking.
