She was a hard working, independent creative person. She loved flowers and worked for many years in beautification projects. She was a member of DUP and had been very active in church positions during her Fire season is n; n; -- only average Utahs 1986 fire season was an average one. The Division of State Lands and Forestry Annual Fire Report shows the division responded to 457 wildland fires which is above the nine year average of 390. The acreage burned was approximately 8,800, well below the nine year average of 28,000 acres. Utah had a relatively light fire season compared to several other western states. The division assisted federal land management agencies on fires on federal lands volving about 19,260 acres. Estimated suppression costs for these assists was $46,700. The federal land management agencies provided assistance to the state and counties estimated in- 116 private lands estimated at $1,132,800. Suppression costs for all wildland fire responses were estimated at $339,300. In 1986, fireworks caused only eight wildland fires. The more fireworks law permissive passed in 1983 apparently has not resulted in increased numbers of fires caused by says division fireworks, assistant director, Dick Klason. The average number of wildland fires caused by fireworks is 10 per year. The division provided assistance in fire control efforts on a number of Class I and II incidents in Utah, Nevada, Idaho, California and Oregon.
