For several years he was secretary of Western States Sheep Shearers Association, of which he is still a board member. At one time, not too long ago, he held the record of shearing the most sheep. He excelled in this event. He is an active member in the LDS Church and holds the position of a High Priest. He and his wife live in American Fork.
