They feel that the fabric shows their skill in designing to better advantage. They do not like to share their laurels with the fabrlo designers. And then the frock made of printed material can so easily be copied by any manufacturer of ready-mad- e clothes. Many of the printed material are amusing and the element of amusement la drees should not be overlooked. There are alike showing quaint pictorial designs that are pleas ing to behold. If the printed fabric detracts from the perfect symmetry of the figure, eo too it detracts from eundry imperfections of contour. And, wisely chosen, the printed material may detract from a too substantial form.
