For the tenth consecutive year, television personality Bob Barker will be master of ceremonies, and singer Helen' O'Connell will be the television hostess of the pageant. The pageant judges will be announced later this month. Highlighting the special will be the announcement of 12 and the crowning of Miss Universe 1976 by Anne Marie Pohtamo of Finland, Miss Universe 1975. Representing the United States is Barbara Elaine Peterson, a student at the University of Minnesota, who was crowned Miss USA last month in Niagara Falls, N.Y. Harold L.
