Staker in Bountiful last Monday, then on Thursday they attended a funeral in salt Lake for her brother Fred t. Jones who passed away at his home in Las Vegas. Nevada. Alan Powell, son of Max and joleen Powell of Salt Lake, has been visiting with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Powell for a week. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Brady of sunnyside visited with her sister and husband, Ann Le-la- nd t t and Frank Cox and spent the night with them after attending the wedding and reception for a nephew. Gale and Mavoreen Anderson Friday evening. Mrs. Beth Young and children of K earns her daughter Annette and husband Charles West also attended the wedding for Gale and Mavoreen Anderson. Grant Nielson of san Francisco, California was home for a few days to visit with his parents, Mr.andMrs.ClarkNiel-so- n and a brother and wife Mr. and Mrs. Craig Nielson of Ferron. The Huntington Second Ward have a new Bishopric, being released with a vote of thanks, Bishop Kendall Mortensen, first counselor, Dale Ungerman, second counselor, Max Larsen, Randall May, ward clerk, and assistant clerks were Boyd snow and John Nielson. The new Bishopric is as follows: Bishop, Mar Grange; first counselor, Robert Searle; second Counselor, Ray Grange; ward clerk, Boyd snow, and assistant clerks, Frank Hall and Guy Brown. A personal shower was given in honor of Mavoreen McArthur by Debbie Oviatt, Phyllis Jensen and sharree Grimmett at Sharrees home Wednesday at 2 p.m. Those attending were; jane Jensen, Mrs. James Jensen, Jeanine Cotner, Janet Wilson, Hope Anderson, Olive McArthur, Carol Oliver, and Davona McArthur. A scrap book was made and then refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Tucker and children of Flagstaff, Arizona came Thursday for Brendas brothers wedding, they are staying with Mr. and Mrs. Art Anderson, Brenda was the Matron of honor for Gale and Mavoreen. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hall have returned home after a three week visit in An 8 lb, baby girl was born to Joyce and Craig Otterstrom in a Salt Lake hospital, June 21. Grandmother Dora otterstrom left Thursday to go and see the new baby and spend two or three days. Other grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ira Coul-so- n, salt Lake. Jimmy Merkel 10 and his brother, Richard, 9, have spent a two weeks vacation here with their grangparents, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Williams, fishing, farming and having fun; were returned to the home of tlieir parents in Fairview Thursday of this week. Mrs. Ted Miller spent all last week with her mother in Blandlng. Mr. Miller went for her this weekend. They expected to arrive home Wednesday or Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Kovacich of Cal ifomia is visiting with Mr. and Mrs.Doug Harrison and Mr. and Mrs. Mar Grange. Best man for Gale was Tommy McElprang, ushers were David stokes and Foster McArthur, matron of honor Brenda Tucker, bridesmaids, Valinda Jensen and Ella Mae Richards. Charleen McArthur and Stephanie Tucker, ringbearer was Arthur McArthur. Denver Hugh Brandon from Neptii visit led here the past week with his brother Clyde and Roberta Brandon at their mountain homw in Joes Valley, Also visited with his friend Delon Olsen. Countv charlman, Tom Johnson, accompanied by Mrs. Eleanor George and Roxy Nelson of Ferron, attended the State Republican convention in salt Lake City, Saturday. Mr. Johnsons mother Mrs. Dale Johnson and sister Mrs. Jean Wells of Wellington accompanied Tom to Salt Lake on other business. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Grant and daughter Cindy from Lanark, HI, spent a weeks vacation here with Harolds brother joe and Arlene Grant and son Brent. They all visited, and were dinner guests with joes son J.J. and Cinthia Grant in Salt Lake Sunday and enjoyed the day at Lagoon. Mrs. Naomi Jensen spent the past weer ek in Tooele with her Judy Ann and Richard Hansen and family. Su&an Holt from Spanish Fork is here visiting at the home of her brother Mr. and Mrs. David Holt. Susan plans to make her home with them this winter and attend school, a senior class member at Emery county high school here. Henning Olsen, who attended school at the Utah state University, at Logan Oils year had as guests here at the home of his parents tills weekend Miss Bonnie Ryan who just graduated from the U.S.U. and her mother from Vermont who flew down for Bonnies graduation. Bonnie and mother spent two days here at the Delon Olsen home and their Mountain Ranch in Joes Valley and one (toy Henning took them sight seeing on to Green-riv- er where they enjoyed a raft river ride, Bonnie returned to Logan where she has Mrs. employment for the summer Ryan flew from salt Lake airport back to her home in Vermont. Henning will remain here for the summer, assisting his father and also be employed with Frigal contraction company. Mrs. Leotta Kofford from Carson city, Nevada, who is visiting with her Aunt Mrs. Elva Crawford in Orangeville visited friends and relatives in Castle Dale including Nina Jensen, Carrie Williams and lone Kofford. Mrs. Kofford works for the state Tax Commission of Nevada. Mrs. Neva Jensen was a special invited guest a t a wedding in salt Lake LDS Temple Friday when Linda Daffer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Daffer of the state of Washington was married to Rex Dickson, Also guest at the weddlngbreak-to- st which followed. Mr. and Mrs, Daffer were Neva Jensens converts to the church when she served a mission in southern California and this is their third daughter to be married in the temple and Neva has attended all three marriage. Was also present when Mr. and Mrs. Daffer had their marriage solemnized and their sealing work done. Mrs, Argene Olsen spent the week end in Provo with hertotheTDr.ArthurVance. Mr. and Mrs. Don Kofford from page, Arizona enjoyed a vacation here this week with Dons brother Newell and lone Kofford, visited Dons mother sydonto Kofford in Ferron and Mrs. Koffords parents Mr. and Mrs. Myron Grange in Huntington, spent one night at their mountain cabin in Ferron canyon and enjoyed fishing here and there, arouna and about. Mrs. Neva Jensen attended June conference in salt Lake where she met her daughter Helen Peacock and daughter Lori Kay from Denver, Colorado and Lori returned home with her grandmother for an extended visit here. Lori Kay attended the Emery stake M.LA. 4 day camp out held at Indian Creek camp gounds in joes Valley. Left here 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, Mrs, Jensen is happy to announcd Helen was just recently sustained as south Denver stake Young Ladles Mutual improvement Association advisor. Mr. and Mrs, B race Anderson and baby left on their miners vacation Monday. Plan to spend Hires days in our local mountains and then go to St. George to visit Mr. Andersons sister and family and will attend a few sessions in st. George temple while there.
