Show officials are busy making arrangements and getting the show facilities ready in anticipation of a large group of exhibitors. Boys and girls and adults throughout the Caibon-Eme- ry County area are training their animals in hopes of winning the coveted Grand Champion awards. Arrangements have been made for JudgShowmanship Coning Contests, Fitting tests, and many more exciting events. Judging of breeding livestock will start at Is 30 p. m, on Thursday, Judging of fat livestock will continue through Frl -day. Pehrson of Green River announce the marriage of their daughter, Teri Lynn Pehrson to Quinn Dumas, son of Mr, and Mrs. Glen Dumas of Green River. The couple were married on June 14, 1971 in Grand Junction, Colorado. Bishop O'Dwyer performed the ceremony in the presence of the bride's grandmother, mother, and three sisters, and the groom's mother and sister in the Stake House in Grand Junct. A reception honored the couple in the LDS Cultural Hall on June 25, 1971. Three members of the Buckhora Bowmen Archery Club of Price shot in the National Southwest Sectional Archery Championship shoot held up Provo Canyon on June 26 and 27. Tne two day shoot, Which brought archers from California, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah was sanctioned by the National Field Archery Association, and had 204 shooters from these states, Bavid Brown, 14, won the championship in the yough Freestyle, which is sight shooters under the age of 18. with a score of 1112 out of the possible 1400, Kenny Leo 17, of Castle Gate placed 2nd in the youth Bare bow Division with a score of 769, Lee Roy Brown placed 5th in the adult Freestyle division with a score of 1157 out of the possible 1400, David Brown and Kenny Leo have entered the US National Championship Outdoor Tournament to be held in Cedar 29, 1971. This is City on July 27, 28, the first time in history that the state of Utah has hosted two National outdoor tournaments in one year. Utah Show on 10, Junior Live July 8 9f "& Emery gets Project Grant Utah Congressman Gunn McKay reported the Economic Development Agency has approved a grant of $662,000 to the North Emery Water UseB Association for their major water project in Emery County. Representative McKay reports the funds will be used for construction of water fa- cilities to serve the communities of Cleveland, Elmo, South Huntington and Lawrence. The grant from EDA will provide $662, 000 with the Four ComeB Regional Commission to provide an additional $186,000 and the North Emery Water will add $212,000 for a total cost of $1,060,000 for the project. The complete project will provide water facilities to serve four communities, a coal mining operation and an electric generating complex in Huntington Canyon.
