County agents from Emerv and Carbon counties were involved in analysis, diagnosis and treatment for hatches that have practically striped the foliage from the many elm trees. Spraying, under their direction, began Saturday and will continue until all the elm trees are sprayed. The fire truck, with pressure tank, is being used for the spray solution. The city and county are cooperating on the first spraying 'of the trees-tkill the adult beetles attacking them but it will he up to the owners of the trees to continue the treatment. After the first spraying the trees should be snrayed every ten days. They should be sprayed around the trunk and up as high as can toe reached. The mixture used is 2 teaspoons of DDT and 1 teaspoons of Mala-- t non per gallon of water.
