Show EMERY COUNTY September 3, 1939 Honored Engagement Announced Marriage Rites Join Howard D. Rowley, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Rowley of at Reception Early Pioneer To Hunt- ington, and Rachelle Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Anderson of Cleveland were married Saturday, August 22, at 6:30 p.m. at the home of the bride's parents. President Frank L. Hall performed the ceremony. In the evening a wedding reception was held in the Cleveland ward recreaton hall. i, The bride wore a white dress of lace over bridal satin. Her veil of tulle hung from a tiara of pearls. In the receiving line were the bride and groom and their parents. Clifford Arno acted as best man. A sister of the bride, Berlyle Kochevar, was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Vanae Jones, Johannah Oveson and Joyce Brasher. Ona Myers and Daphine Williams were in charge of the bride's book and Margaret Christensen, Connie Anderson and Lorraine Jensen took care of the gift book. Master of ceremonies was James A. Ballard of Las Vegas, Nev. The program was as follows: Prayer, William F. Eden; duet, Julia Thor derson and Joan Fillmore; tap e dance, LaRae Jones; reading, Ward; quartet, Errol Litster, Kirk Nielson, Scott Nielson, and Perry Wakefield; piano solo, Alene Jensen; tap dance, Jeffery and Judith Christensen; trio, Irene Petty, Ruth Litster and Lynette Thorder-so- Lord la Anderson Loretta Anderson Reveals Troth ( ct Mrs. Hanah Ralph of Ferron will observe her 92nd birthday September 7, when family members will honor her. Mrs. Ralphs was born September 7, 1867 in Manti, the third of a family of ten children. As a young girl she was privileged to attend the dedication of the grounds of the Manti Temple where she saw Brigham Young. Shortly thereafter her father was called by Brigham Young to take his family and help to settle Castle Valley. They were one cf the first familes to settle Castle Dale. Later they moved to Ferron then on to Emery. In Ferron she met and married Parley Pratt Ralphs on January 18, 1884. She has worked in the different organizations of the LDS churih. After her family was raised she filled a mission to the Manti temple and through close contact with members of her family, has been instrumental in promoting genealogy work.
