South Emery's paper, Blue and White Messenger, came out in its second edition last Thursday. Editors Sylvia Childs and George Conover, and assistant editors, Anita Cox and Carl Barton, spent many a class period frantically slaving over typewriters and chasing class reporters down the halls begging for their reports, but it was worth it for - the Halloween Edition was really worth howling about! Yearbook Editors Judy Conklin and George Peacock are busily at work on this years Bulldog Bark. These very lovely girls made a difficult job for the judges in the semi-finaheld Friday. The girls were all dressed in formals and made a beautiful sight a3 they walked across the stage and were introduced by their campaign managers. The three darling girls that were chosen to run for Queen were Rachelle Anderson, Linda Hinkins and Joan Killpack. The Queen will be crowned at the Harvest Ball on November 8. The Band members of North Emery loaded buses at 3 a.m. Saturday to make the long trip to Salt Lake. On their arrival at The annual Cleveland Pal party the U of U campus they were told was held October 31. New officers the sad news of the cancellation of were elected. the Homecoming because of bad weather. The disappointed students started the long trip home with heavy hearts and tired souls. The disappointment was smoothed over a little, however, as they stopped in Provo for an early lunch. The Paramount Theater was featuring Jailhouse Rock and the students were allowed to see the show. The band arrived home at 5 p.m. The heavy snow, sleet and bad weather didnt dampen the spirit much as many said the trip had not been wasted.
