The risk of establishing mines and growing crops is undertaken because miners and farmers have hope of a profitable market; the farmer at harvest time, the miner when it's time to sell the minerals he digs from the ground. The Seniors went on their long awaited tour and really enjoyed their trip as told by Connie Cade. Bright and early Monday morning we set out on our Senior Tour. We left Emery about 4:00 o'clock. Most of the class participated in this event. We first went to Geneva Steel Plant and made a tour of the whole plant. It was very educating and interesting. We spent about one hour and a half there. We then went on to the Salt Lake Airport. Here we were told some of the things about the Airport and the Airplanes. We were taken into the planes and shown around and told about them. This was also very interesting. After this we had four hours free time where everyone went their own way. Some went to shows, shopping, visiting relatives or just looking around. I believe, though, we all ate. We went back to the bus at 6:00 oclock. A couple of us just about didnt make it. But, since they were good runners, all was well. After this, we went out to Park Ro She. Here we split courses and some went swimming and some went roller skating. We stayed there about an hour and a half. Everyone had a real good time here. By this time it was nine-thirt- y so we started for home arriving at about 12:30 a. m. Yearbook Staff . . .
