Huntington Post 73 American Legion gave two American flags to the Scouts recently, one to First Ward Scouts and one to the Second Ward. Commander Edward Brinkerhoff made the presentations at MIA meeting. at the Air Force Base flew to Salt Lake to attend conference and Merlin came on to Huntington to visit with his parents. On his return to his Base April 11 he received his discharge from the Air Force. He and his wife and baby left for Thonotosassa, Florida to visit with her parents, Mr and Mrs C. P. Voyles, and other relatives for a few weeks. They expect to return to Huntington to make their home. Mr and Mrs Archie Kirkland of Alhambra, Calif, were guests this week at the home of Mr and Mrs E. R. Bennett. Kent Howard is home from the ranfch in Nevada. He will take his family back with him for the summer. Fannie visited in Downey with Mr and Mrs Ray Jones. They had a wonderful trip. She said she saw the Los Angeles Temple and many other Interesting places. One of the prettiest places they saw was Bryces Canyon in Southern Utah. Mr and Mrs Scott Nielson were Sunday visitors in Salt Lake City last week. Mr and Mrs Guy Young were In Salt Lake one day of Conference to attend the missionary reunion of the Mexican Mission. Mrs Young also attended the funeral service of Amassa Porter Clark, husband of an aunt, Emma Leonard Clark, in Las Vegas last week. She accompanied Mr and Mrs Harry Conover of Perron. Roger Hinkins of Tooele spent the week end at home with his folks, Mr and Mrs Parley Hinkins. Mrs Ella Rowley entertained O N O sewing dub women at her home Thursday night.
