NATURAL GAS Prospects of a uranium proc-- l essing mill at Green River have virtually eliminated with the announcement from Salt Lake City that Vitro Uranium Company has contracted to buy all the ore from Hidden Splendor Mining Company, an Atlas Corporation subsidiary. Previously Floyd Odium, head of Atlas, had outlined plans for a uranium mill at Green River and had made preliminary talks with the Atomic Energy Commission at Grand Junction, Under the terms of the new contract with Vitro, however, all of the ore production from the Hidden Splendor Mine (for merly owned by Vernon Pick) will go to Salt Lake City. The contract calls for acceptance toy Vitro of 5,000 to 9,000 tons of ore monthly. Vitro will contract for trucking the ore from the mine to Green River. From there, shipments will be made to Salt Lake City via the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad.
