Jack Lewis and Morgan and Crosby Jensen of the USAC in Logan spent the week end at home and attended the Gold and Green Ball. The Green and Gold Ball was a fine success last Saturday night. A huge crowd was in attendance. Jimmy Darts orchestra played the music. The theme, Red Sails in the Sunset, was portrayed on the stage; over 11600 balloons hung from the ceiling- - The floor show was directed by Marjorie secretary Co. for Minneapolis-Mo-li- ne in Salt Lake City. Clara Petersen, Thelma and Mrs Morris Lewis were home tor the Green and Gold Ball. They are alL employed in Ad-dl- ey Salt Lake. Mr and Mrs Ludean Maxfield and family of Bunkersville, Ne vada, were week end guests in Emery. Rulon Albrechtsen of the B. A. c. accompanied Orval Min-chto Emery, where they vis ited over the week end. Maxine Minchey and son will accompany Orval back to Toquers-villMaxine has been with her mother the past two weeks. Mr and Mrs George Anderson, Glenn and Af ton, from Lay ton, Utah, spent the week end in Emery and enjoyed the Ball. Monday night at 6 oclock a free Gold and Green Ball was given for all children under 12 years of age. The house was filled with children, mothers, and babies. Sigrid Keele and Harvey Allred furnished the music. The children had a y time. After the dance the 1600 balloons that had decorated the hall were taken down and much to their delight each child and baby was given six of them to take home. Mr and Mrs Arthur Broder ick entertained a large crowd of young people at a luncheon ; Saturday night after the Gold and Green Ball. Mr find Mrs Elbert Blackburn went to Price Sunday to see their sister, Mrs Larin Stevens, who has been very ill. Mrs Annie Otteson who has spent tht winter with her daughter, Carrie Mortensen, has gone to Green River to visit another daughter, Mrs Blenda Christiansen. Mr and Mrs Eldred Mortensen visited their parents in Cle veland Monday afternoon and took Hans Mortensen to a phy sician in Price. Mr Mortensen was ill following a major opera tion recently in Salt Lake. Mr and Mrs Earl Olsen have had some very sick children with the flu. Mr ami Mrs Blain Mortensen who have been in Green River with the Oil Company, have moved to Price where he has work with the same Company. Stewart and Kendall Morten sen, sons of Mr and Mrs Eldred Mortensen have the first mJtor scooter in Emery. They use it to deliver the Salt Lake Tribune..
