On Monday Frank Liddel of Carbon and Ray B. Humphrey of Orangeville made an extensive search along the highway, and adjacent lands, from Wellington to Woodside, and were unable to locate any other growths of the plant. On Tuesday, Frank Liddell, Lewis Dimmick and the latters brother of Carbon County Ray B. and Wilford J. Humphrey, Leslie Crawford and Ned Poulson of Emery 'County, devoted the day with weed burners, burning the weed. Wednes day Mr. ILiddell was absent, but Allison Fox of Orangeville was added to the force. Mr. Shaffer, railroad section foreman, advised Mr. Humphrey he had never seen the weed along the right of way until this season. Inasmuch as it is now scattered over an area of from sixty to eighty acres, it is assumed it must have been in the area for some time. Every little crack in the ground around these plants is filled with seeds and the workmen are being instructed to thorough work in their burning. Mr. Humphrey promised report on the progress of the con trol campaign and solicited the cooperation of all.
