Huntington Sunday, August. 3, marked the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr and Mrs Anton Nielsen of Huntington. Sarah Mae Lott and Anton Nielsen were married in the Salt Lake L. D. s. Temple on August 4, 1897, by Apostle John R. Winders. They have watched the State grow since their marriage during the Stale Golden Jubilee Celebration. Anton Nielsen was bishop of the Huntington ward for nearly eleven years. He also served three terms as city mayor He was clerk in the State Senate Anton Nielsen and served two terms as county commissioner. lie was an LDS missionary in Denmark for two years. Cox, and his counselors, 1st Counselor Emile Luke, 2nd Counselor Preston Huntington, and Ward Clerk Lillis Jewkes, with their will be honored at a wives, dancing party and program to Ce conducted by the new Bishopric and their wives. Cox has served Bishop Orangeville Ward nearly ten years in the capacity of Bishop, and his counselors and Ward clerk have been with him a good deal of the time. All who knowr Bishop Cox and his assistants love and respect them, and it is with regret that Orangeville Ward gives them a release. The new Bishopric consists of Bishop Ray Sitterud, 1st Counselor John L. Bell, 2nd Counselor Kent Stilson, Ward Clerk Morris Peacock, Asst. Clerk Ray Hassinger. A large crowd is expected to be in attendance to honor the former Bishopric as all those who have known Bishop Cox and his assistants in the pasj or at the present are being asked to attend.
